Today in Year 2 Sharks we have been exploring running and cross stitches. We have used our new-found skills to sew a trail to where x marks the spot on our very own treasure maps. Here are a few of the photos I have taken – enjoy! 🙂
The staff and children of Key Stage One hope you all enjoyed Sports Day as much as we did. We’re sure you can agree that the children should be very proud of how hard they worked in that scorching heat! The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves – especially seeing their adults trying to hurdle.
Here are just some of the hundreds of photos we took for you to enjoy! 🙂
This week in Sharks, we have been developing our understanding of money. We have discussed the value of different coins, we have made the same amount in different ways, added our shopping list totals, and subtracted to find change. Here are a couple of pictures.
Today we have had Paul the artist in again to help us with our final piece. Here are some pictures of the fun we have had and the work we have produced.
What a messy day we have had in Sharks today! We have continued to develop our painting and printing skills towards a collaborative final piece. By the end of the day, we looked like a cross between a Smurf and the Incredible Hulk!
We have had another fantastic day in Sharks today, as we had a very special visitor. We met an artist Paul, who helped us to develop our drawing skills. When we had finished, we collaged them all to produce a class map of Africa. We have really shown what a super team we are!
In Year 2 Sharks this week, we have been looking at different word classes and how these can be used effectively in our writing. Here are a few pictures of us sorting nouns, verbs and adjectives.
This week in Maths, we have been solving capacity problems sent to us from our alien friends Sprig, Sprog and Sprag. The children have worked really hard to develop their understanding of capacity, by reading scales, comparing capacities and adding them together.
