Year 5 bells have had a fantastic afternoon exploring Brazilian music. They have listened to and discussed the rhythms and beats that you find in Brazilian drumming and then went off to explore it for them selves.

This half term, we have been looking at the compositions of Gustav Holst and used this to inspire our own work. We have studied his work on the planets and from that created our own musical composition to accompany our made up planet. Today some of us performed our final piece. We have considered what mood we want to portray and how we can change the tempo, dynamics and texture of the piece in order to convey this.
Check back in with us next week to see us all perform.
